Awards and Recognitions

Lori Goldenberg of Ridgefield received the highest honor in the field of electrology (the Gold Probe Award) by from American Electrology Association at its annual confer ence  in Nashville, Tenn., Oct. 28. Jim Paisner, who presented the award, said it is “given annually to an individual that has made a significant contribution to the field of electrolysis, and has shown the potential to have a major impact on the profession in the future.”

Ms. Goldenberg is a registered nurse, a licensed and board-certified professional elec trologist, and a certified medical esthetician. She is a graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and the Electrology Institute of New England. On Oct. 29, Ms. Goldenberg made a two hour presentation on sterilization and infection control to the audience of approximately 200 professional electrologists.

Ms. Goldenberg, 53, moved with her fam ily to Ridgefield in 2008, and in 2011 opened Electrolysis and Medical Skin Care of Western Connecticut at Suite 101, 871 Ethan Allen Highway (Route 7). During her career, Ms. Goldenberg has worked for hospitals, visiting nursing agencies, assisted-living facilities, plastic surgery and dermatology medical practices.

Our Infrastructure

At Electrolysis & Skin Care we use the newest technology with the following electrolysis modalities: shortwave, blend, multiplex, galvanic. Our electrolysis machine is the industry-leading Apilus Xcell Pur 27.12 megahertz. Treatment sessions are provided on a timed basis, ranging from 15 minutes to more than an hour depending on the area being treated. The number of treatments to achieve the desired amount of hair removal varies with each client and the goals of the client. For a number of years, Electrolysis & Skin Care has predominantly used Vivant Skin Care® products, based on the scientific qualities of these products and our experience with the results they achieve.

Professional Affiliations

Lori is a member of the Connecticut State Electrologist Association and the American Electrology Association. She has served as a speaker at numerous industry conferences, including the Connecticut State Electrologist Association, Massachusetts Electrologist Association, and the American Electrology Association.
